Many of us may be heard of the famous malampuzha in palakkad,(Kerala,India) .The Malampuzha Garden and reservoir have a scenic setting with the forested hills of Western Ghats forming the backdrop, making it one of the foremost tourism centers in the State. But the backdrops of the reservoir is more beautiful than the front and this is the place I am writing about ANAKKAL a not so famous tourist place and waterfalls its about 15 KM from the Malampuzha gardens and is accessible only by road.
As a result of sand mining in the area the road is not so good to stable ride. If you are interested in Bike riding then this is the place just for you.
HOW TO GET THERE
From the palakkad town you have to go though the Malampuzha road and from malampuzha turn right towards the snake park and you will find the way board there stating anakkal waterfalls 15 km.There is a state transport bus from the palakkad bus stand to this place in the morning.
About the Place
The place is not so disturbed by neither the traffic and nor the people if you are a nature lover then its a must place to visit.Some times there are wild animals being spotted in the core area (if you are lucky you may be stopped by the wild elephant).there are many scenic places here which will mesmerize us with all its beauty. the water fall is not so big nut has its own lush beauty.
The place is good to visit in between the monsoons and after the monsoons (June - january).
yesterday we visited anakkal, but i cannot find the destination, there is no sign board on that destination
